Target Audience
This symposium will be of interest to consultant pharmacists
who work with geriatrric patients. The program will provide
a clinical update on the management of dementia in the
elderly from the perspectives of the healthcare professional
and caregiver. In addition, the regulatory perspective
will be addressed regarding the interrelationships among
MDS (Minimum Data Set), Resident Assessment Instrument,
and the new HCFA guidelines, and ASCPs MedGuide.
Achieving optimal patient care in our "managed cost"
environment will be discussed.
