Thrombosis
Prevention and Management in the Older Adult
A Case-Based Educational Program
When you open a case you will
see a set of buttons on the right side of your screen.
The "profile" button will be highlighted
and the patient's profile will appear on the screen.
To work through the case in a logical sequence,
click each button on the right side of the screen
in the order in which they appear, beginning at
the top. Most sections will have multiple pages
of information. To see the next page, click the
tab on the file folder. Throughout the case, questions
will appear. To select your answer to the question,
click the box next to the answer. More than one
answer may be chosen. After you have selected your
answer(s) click on the "submit" button
at the bottom left corner of your screen.
You will see text highlighted
in orange throughout the cases. Roll your mouse
cursor over the orange text and additional information
will appear. To view the cases, you will need to
have Macromedia
Flash Player 6, which can be downloaded with
no cost.
There are two file
sizes for each case. Optimal sound quality will
be contained in the files labeled "high".
For Internet users with high-speed connections these
files will download quickly. For modem users, downloading
these high resolution files will take a few of minutes.
If you use a modem to connect to the Internet, quicker
downloading can be achieved by using the files labeled
"low".
